US intelligence last month released a major assessment of the situation in Russia, stating that Russian President Vladimir Putin was being treated for advanced cancer in April, Newsweek reports.
This information was allegedly confirmed by three senior intelligence officers who saw the reports. They added that there was an assassination attempt on the Russian president in March. “Putin’s pressure is strong, but it is no longer absolute,” said one intelligence official who had access to the reports.
He points out that things in the Kremlin are no longer peaceful. The three intelligence agents warned that the isolation of the Russian president made it difficult for US intelligence to more accurately assess Putin’s status and health.
Since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, which began on February 24, there has been speculation about Putin’s health. Numerous media outlets reported that the Russian president was terminally ill, the media reported.
